"Nine apartments in the apartment building on Bauskas Street are insured by BTA. Our main focus right now is to maintain communication and provide assistance to the owners of the affected apartments by compensating their rental fees on temporary housing. We have already paid compensations for temporary rental apartments and are paying customers €1,000 for essential items. So far it is impossible to fully assess the extent of the damage caused by the explosion, and we are awaiting expert acknowledgements, which will allow us to calculate the insurance indemnity amounts so that we, as an insurance company, can make the compensation payments. The total sum insured for all 9 apartments, which includes both movable property and real estate insurance, is approximately €500,000," says I. Danče.
