If you have a CASCO or CASCO Potholes policy and an accident occurs, you can claim your insurance indemnity in the most convenient way:

1. By filling in the application form on the My BTA website or mobile app

Upon receipt of the claim, we will contact you to find out the details of the accident, register the claim and inform you about the further progress of the claim. If you attach a completed claim form to your application form, we will only clarify the unresolved issues during the phone call.

2. By contacting your insurance agent or broker.

1. if a person has been injured in a road accident,

- administer first aid to the injured person as possible, but contact the Emergency Medical Services immediately on 113 or 03;
- call the traffic police on 110 or 02;

2. if no person has been injured in the traffic accident and the accident involves only two vehicles and both drivers can agree on the circumstances of the accident, no damage has been caused to the property of a third party, and the vehicles have not suffered damage such that they cannot or must not be driven, fill in the Agreed Statement. Be sure to keep a copy of the completed Agreed Statement to submit it to us;

3. if there are other circumstances that prevent you from completing the agreed statement, for example if there are three vehicles involved in the accident, you absolutely must call the traffic police on 110 or 02.

4. photographs may also be useful to clarify the circumstances of the accident, so if possible, take pictures of the vehicles immediately after the accident without changing their positions and, if possible, record eyewitness contacts.

5. contact the BTA Customer Support Service as soon as possible by calling +371 26121212 to inform about the traffic accident, receive instructions on the further actions to be taken and to report an insured event.

If you have detected theft of your vehicle or other unlawful activity by third parties, such as the theft of your vehicle's mirror glass, take the following actions:

1. call the traffic police on 110 or 02;

2. contact the BTA Customer Support Service as soon as possible by calling +371 26121212 to report the theft, receive instructions on how to proceed and to report an insured event.

To ensure a quick and efficient CASCO claim, you need to report the accident as soon as possible. Ideally, the claim should be submitted immediately to allow the necessary procedures to start and to minimise any potential complications that could arise if the claim is submitted late. The most convenient way to make an insurance claim is on the My BTA website or mobile app. The sooner the claim is made, the more accurately the circumstances of the accident and the damage caused can be recorded. Moreover, damage may increase or otherwise change over time, which can affect the safety or value of the car.

A deductible is the amount of money that the customer covers in case of an insured event. It is a way of sharing the risk between the insurer and the customer.
