BTA’s Board expanded
On the 24th of October, by registering the changes with the Register of Enterprises of the Republic of Latvia, the panel of the Board of BTA Baltic Insurance Company (hereinafter – BTA) was expanded by a fourth board member – Wolfgang Stockmeyer. Just as until now, Jānis Lucaus will remain acting as the Chairman of the Board, as well as the current board members Oskars Hartmanis and Evija Matveja will remain on the company’s board.
Wolfgang Stockmeyer has nearly 20 years of experience in the insurance field. Since 2010 he works for Vienna Insurance Group AG companies in Poland. Until being elected in the Board of BTA, Wolfgang Stockmeyer was a board member in life insurance company Compensa TUnŽ S.A. Vienna Insurance Group, supervising sales operations, and was a board member in non-life insurance company Compensa TU S.A. Vienna Insurance Group, being in charge of the health insurance segment.
As a member of BTA Board, Wolfgang Stockmeyer is in charge of supervising financial matters in the Baltic States.
As previously announced by BTA, in August 2016, after acquisition of the necessary approvals from the supervisory institutions in Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia, changes in the composition of shareholders of BTA Baltic Insurance Company were registered. By registering these changes, the largest shareholder of the company became a leading insurer in Europe – Vienna Insurance Group AG, who acquired 90% of BTA shares.
