In the spirit of preserving cultural heritage, Latvian insurance company BTA has become the general sponsor of concert “Latvian Power Songs”.

The concert will be held on November 15 at the Arena Riga during the Patriots Week. It will give a musical start to the approaching hundredth anniversary of Latvia and celebrate our country’s 97th anniversary. The program for the grand concert will include musical pieces of great significance for Latvians throughout the ages.

Without any doubt, this ambitious and magnificent musical event will become one of the main events of the national celebration program, because there will be a lot of great artists performing on the stage: singer Ieva Akuratere, legendary actresses Olga Dreģe and Lilita Ozoliņa, rock musicians ALEX and Atis Ieviņš, opera singers Evita Zālīte, Sonora Vaice and Elīna Šimkus, folk dance ensemble “Dzintariņš”, singing actors from the National Theatre and Daile Theatre – Dita Lūriņa, Marija Bērziņa, Rēzija Kalniņa, Ģirts Ķesteris and Artis Robežnieks, singers Ralfs Eilands and Aija Andrejeva, kokle player Laima Jansone and the first violin of the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra – Raimonds Ozols.

The instrumental ensemble lead by Kristaps Krievkalns will provide musical background for the concert. The concert program includes musical pieces of great significance for Latvians throughout the ages, like “Manai tautai”, “Dzimtā valoda”, “Daugaviņa”, “Brīvību Baltijai”, “Sena kalpu dziesma” and many others.

This will be the sixth year since TV channel LNT began to celebrate the Patriots Week in November, thus giving birth to a tradition that encourages everyone to pin the maroon-white-maroon ribbons to their chest. Every year LNT invites us to feel the joy and pride about our country, Latvia, by offering a special program dedicated to the Patriots Week. This year’s program also promises to be a special one, allowing everybody to participate and enjoy the Latvian anniversary concert “Latvian Power Songs” together with BTA, the general sponsor of the concert. 

Tickets for the concert “Latvian Power Songs” have been available at “Biļešu Paradīze” outlets and online as of September 23. Price – EUR 10-25.
