The Freedom Monument safe with BTA for 17 years already
BTA Baltic Insurance Company AAS (BTA) takes pride in having been presenting the insurance of the Freedom Monument for 1.5 million euros for 17 years, presenting this gift to Riga City Municipality during the Patriotism Week.
“Whatever the times may come, whatever the epidemiologic situation, Latvia and its people follow their traditions and take pride in them. Therefore, BTA as well is proud and honoured to be able to take care of one of the most prominent independence symbols of our country’s statehood – the Freedom Monument! It is a symbol of the cultural and historical heritage and unity of the Latvian nation, and it is our responsibility to preserve it for the generations to come,” emphasizes BTA Deputy Management Board Chairman Oskars Hartmanis.
The Freedom Monument insurance policy presented by BTA includes insurance against fire, liquid or steam leakage, natural disasters, as well as damages incurred to the monument’s body resulting from third party illegal activity, although there have been no insurance claims in previous years for that matter.
This year, BTA provided support and together with the society For Better and company We Build Parks started implementation of an innovative social responsibility project BTA Velozinis (Bicycle expert), which is yet another present of BTA to the people of Latvia. This project is specialized tracks in various cities in Latvia, where children, together with adults, can master and perfect their bicycle handling skills in a safe, yet challenging environment. Such tracks have been already installed in six cities of Latvia – in Cēsis (1 Valmieras Street), Dobele (Ķestermežs), Sigulda (1 Raiņa Street), Saulkrasti (10 Noliktavas Street), Valmiera (4 Krāču Street) and Salaspils (1 Smilšu Street).
