CEO of BTA Baltic Insurance Company AAS Jānis Lucaus resigns
After holding the position of the Chairman of the Management Board of BTA Baltic Insurance Company AAS (BTA) for six years Jānis Lucaus has decided to leave BTA to pursue new challenges.
After more than ten years in the management of BTA, six of them as the CEO, Jānis Lucaus wishes to take on new challenges in his professional career and will leave the company as of 1 May this year. During his tenure as the Chairman of the Management Board, BTA has shown considerable growth at the rate of 65% reaching EUR 164.6 million in gross written premiums in 2017. The technical result since 2012 has improved 2.5 times reaching EUR 7.6 million. In 2017, the income before taxes reached EUR 8.7 million, a record for BTA during the last six years. This allows the executive team of BTA to continue the same course and retain the position of the leading insurance company in the Baltic States.
