Third party liability insurance

Every person can insure his or her general civil liability. It can protect the company from unpleasant experience that can expose business to danger and harm the company’s reputation. Although the director of a company cannot really keep track of each employee’s conduct at work, the company has civil liability for each of its employees and has to assume the liability for all business processes irrespective of whether it is in the production or service provision.

Each type of business is unique and each has very specific processes during which fatal errors or accidents can happen that can cause losses to other persons. 

For many types of business, general civil liability insurance is mandatory pursuant to the requirements of the regulatory enactments of the Republic of Latvia in order to get a permit to run a particular business.

When acquiring the general civil liability insurance, the policy validity territory will be specified in the insurance policy.
The insurance validity territory can be selected upon necessity – it can be both the territory of the Republic of Latvia and a territory specified in a particular insurance policy, for instance, the address of a particular object where services are provided.
If you run your business abroad, including exporting goods, when acquiring the general civil liability insurance, we also offer an extended policy validity territory – European Union or, if necessary, even broader territory.

Insurance that protects product manufacturers, processors, distributors and various service providers against losses that other persons might incur because of product defects or substandard quality of services provided.
