BTA Baltic Insurance Company AAS (BTA), being a socially responsible company, made an appeal to its customers in May to engage together into a social responsibility campaign, during which one euro from each purchased policy is to be donated to the Parent’s House of the Children’s Clinical University Hospital, informs the company. A total of EUR 25,176 will be donated.

“BTA, being a socially responsible company, would like to raise the public awareness – there are a lot of institutions and people at the moment, whom each of us are able to give hand to, at least by a little bit. During the campaign, we invited our customers to be responsive, to purchase insurance policies, of which EUR 1 is donated to the Parent’s House of the Children’s Clinical University Hospital. The responsiveness was great, and BTA will take great pride and pleasure when making a bank transfer of EUR 25,176 to the Children’s Hospital Foundation in these days,” says Evija Matveja, BTA Management Board Member.

“The work at the Parent’s House never stops. It is the same now as well, when the activity of support groups and occurrence of various events is limited, we are looking for other ways to assist parents and to make them feel safe, as the presence of mum an dad for a child during illness is very important, but parents, devoting all their attention to the child, often forget about taking care of themselves. Therefore, we at the Parent’s House exert all efforts to provide mums and dads a facility to regain energy, as a rested and fresh parent will also be a better support to its child. We are sincerely grateful to BTA for the initiative and the donation, which at these times of the crisis and ubiquitous limitations is of huge, really huge importance!” expressed her gratitude Liene Dambiņa, the Chairlady of the Children’s Hospital Foundation.

There are a lot of parents in BTA’s team, and BTA treats their children with presents at Christmas, arranges the BTA Children’s Day, when employees are encouraged to show their daily work life to their kids, as well providing its employees with days off to be spent with their kids, and discounts on Personal Accident Insurance policies for the entire family. “Children are our future. We are assured that employees, when given a chance to balance their business and private time, devoting enough attention to their kids and spending their free time together with them, will build a much stronger and motivated team. BTA is advocate of a happy childhood, also when it means a less pleasant experience and convalescence. This is why we need the Parent’s House and it has to carry on its mission – providing a feeling of home when being away – supported by BTA financially as well, providing insurance to the Parent’s House and investing funds in development and successful operation of the house,” emphasizes E. Matveja.
