On 16 May, at the Biķernieki Sports Complex, BTA held an event for journalists to inform of current events related to car safety, safe driving and CASCO insurance. BTA CASCO insurance risk underwriter Henrijs Grūbe, Deputy Director of the BTA Insurance Claim Department Ilze Vējiņa participated in the event, as well as Goodyear representative Viktors Samusevičs who told about the importance of tyres for safe driving and Krown Baltic Chairman of the Board Raivis Alksnis who told how car processing can affect its safety.

BTA has now launched business in Great Britain by opening a branch in Manchester which is home to one of the largest Latvian communities. In December 2011, BTA received a permit to start their business in this country. Splendid awarding ceremony and cheerful party at the fashion - entertainment centre Riga Plaza concluded the annual BTA Women's Day Rally 2012 last Saturday, March 10. This year's rally gathered a record high number of participants and as many as 311 crews entered the race circuit on the morning of the competition. Approximately half of this year's contestants participated in the rally a year ago, confirming that the event is assuming a significant role in the life of Latvian motor sports and serves as a respectable beginning for the Latvian rally season.
